Shortly after my 30th birthday, I've been focused on staying in shape and eat healthy. This is when I started re-connecting with my passion to run, which started back on the HS track. Back then, 1988-91, I was a sprinter and specialized in the 400m distance. But over the past 20+ years I have concentrated more on my endurance. It started with 5k and 5-mile races and worked its way up to the marathon distance. I've competed in over 300 races to date, including the Boston Marathon in 2017. I started teaching a Run for God 5k Challenge class in the Summer of 2017 and began a Run for God Club that Fall. My next goal is to try and re-qualify for Boston where I have some unfinished business to take care of. I also have been running every day, at least 1 mile, since November 24, 2017. Now that I'm over 50, I feel healthier and happier than ever before.
