I've always wanted to be in shape and eat healthy, but not until shortly after my 30th birthday, in 2003, did I really start doing something about it. This is when I re-connected with my passion to run, which started back on the HS track. Back then, 1988-91, I was a sprinter and specialized in the 400m distance. But over the past 18+ years I have concentrated more on my endurance. It started with 5k and 5-mile races and worked its way up to the marathon distance. I've competed in over 250 races to date, including the Boston Marathon in 2017. I started teaching Run for God 5k Challenge class in the Summer of 2017 and started a Run for God Club that Fall. My next goal is trying to break that elusive 5-minute mile. I also have been running every day, at least 1 mile, since November 24, 2017. Now that I'm over 50, I feel healthier and happier than ever before.
